No shirts at abercrombie

I don't know how long they have been doing this, or how many places they do this at, but ever since i learned about it in Vegas I was shocked and appalled!

I walked by an abercrombie and there was a shirtless model standing at the door.

When i saw the guy, I knew he felt like an idiot. He was embarrassed to make eye contact with us or something.

I haven't really checked here, I don't walk in to A&F much, so I have no clue if other locations do this. I wonder if it happens in Utah. In the middle of this snow storm we have been having. You think that would be animal cruelty? then we could get the PETA against Abercrombie.

My thoughts on this are:
I think its odd that abercrombie is trying to sell clothing, meanwhile their advertisements don't advertise their clothing. Its actually more like a pornography advertisement.

I used to work for Hollister once upon a time, and not that I'm proud of it, but with an insider's point of view, I really think the whole company is kind of shady. I mean the managers never worked hard, everyone got fired for everything and anything (including managers) many employee's would steal from the store. Also I knew an abercrombie employee, they once told me when the CEO of abercrombie was coming to visit, they only allowed the "pretty" people to work there. And plus most the people who work there think they are all that and a bag of chips... hah, cant wait to see what they do with their life!

If i were an investor I would not put my money in A&F.

Anyways this is Tuesday's post, and this is what Michael thought!

  1. This is what Jenni thinks... I was embarrased FOR that kid who was standing in the doorway with his shirt off. Poor guy. And I completely agree... Are they selling clothes? Or workout equipment by showing fit bodies? I just DO NOT get it. I never have. And why exactly are there clothes so expensive? They really aren't that special.

    Abercrombie employees should be ashamed!

  2. A&F is very weird! I remember their catalog a few years ago was an 18 &up only catalog because of the nudity. I really think they are trying to play up the "sex sells" advertising bit...too bad their clothes are targeted for the younger crowd that can't afford it...and shouldn't be worried about that stuff anyway! Everything about that store is wrong. I feel bad for the shirtless guy...BUT surely he knew that was in his job description before he started. That's the really sad part...well, that's what me thinks. (Not to say that anyone who owns A&F is bad....I just think the marketing group is a bunch of weirdos)

  4. I have always been scared of A&F and Hollister. Their stores are so dark and who the heck knows what goes on in there?

As for the half naked guy...I hope they were paying him well.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you worked at Hollister.
